Quick Facts about the Performance tours:
        
        All tours begin and end at the same location.
        Route maps indicate turns, distances, public rest areas, and
        points of interest.
        Critical turn points within the park area are manned by 
        volunteers; signs point the direction in rural areas.
        Water & fruit is available at the start/finish and from permanent 
        Break Points.
        A floating SAG will accompany the extended riders.
        The Family Tour uses the Hike & Bike paths and dedicated bike
        lanes; extended tours of 35 and 50 miles leave and return by city
        streets and state highways.  [Note: Continuing construction on
        the Mission Reach Project and county parks may require detours
        and use of public access streets.]

The FAMILY  TOUR pedals along the San Antonio River on the historic Mission Trails from Mission Concepcion in the north to Mission 
Espada in the south.  The route follows hike and bike paths with opportunities to visit four Spanish Colonial missions.  This route can be tailored to virtually any family friendly length.  Mission tours are available through the park service.  A 15 mile option meets BSA
merit  badge requirements.
