The Polio Plus Challenge - Rotarians, join us at M2M Charity Bike Tour

 About Your   Rotary Foundation

Another opportunity to contribute to Rotary's $200 Million Challenge

Rotary's US$200 Million Challenge is the Rotary Foundation's response to the two grants totaling $355 million
from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to help eradicate polio. Every dollar given to PolioPlus will be counted
toward the $200 million match, which must be met by 30 June 2012
.

Give through Rotary participation!

Friends of Rotary are welcome to add their support to Rotary’s number-one goal.

         Dear Rotary Family,

The push to end Polio is at hand!  Mission Trail Rotary Club invites you to participate in
our family-centered Mission to Mission Charity Bike Tour (and Walk) and to involve your

family and fellow Rotarians in helping  to eradicate the pain and suffering of Polio.  Join
us the first Saturday in December for the Mission to Mission Charity Bike Tour and walk.
All your registration fees will be donated to the Rotary Foundation's Polio Plus program
        in your organization's name .
Yes, it really is that simple!
Additionally Mission Trail Rotary will recognize your club or group on our Mission Trail
website and in a Rotary District 5840 newsletter article.

Please see more information in the article that follows.

       Yours in Rotary,

       Larry Clark
       Mission Trail Rotary Club, President

Our Goal:  To provide another opportunity for you to help meet Rotary's $200 million challenge.
Each year Mission Trail Rotary designates the registration fees from the Polio Plus Walk to RI as an extra contribution to Polio Plus.
We hope your club will use Mission to Mission to increase your Rotary Foundation gift! -- even if you already have a Polio Plus project
planned MTR Charities, Inc. will forward all the Mission to Mission registration fees in your club's name to RI.
Such a deal-- your own Polio + fundraiser and a club participation event with no planning on your part!  .

Just the facts:
Mission to Mission Charity Bike Tour
December 3, 2011 * 8:00 AM Registration * 9:00 AM Start
Mission County Park #1 * 6030 Padre Drive, San Antonio, TX 78214

How the challenge works:
1) Gather a team of ten or more supporters of Polio + Program.  Select a captain who will organize your team to participate in the Polio Plus Walk/Ride.  The team may consist of Rotarians, Interactors, or Family.  Or, your team could be a mix of all in one team and may also include other community supporters as well.  Team members may register for either the walk or ride.

2) Register your Rotary team in one of these ways:

               1) Pre-Registration on www.active.com -  (a) Have the Club or group select a single team name. The name of the team should include an identifying name such as, "Mission Trail Rotary SA" or "Winston School Interact EAGLES". (b) Once the team has been named, all members should register individually on-line using a personal credit card.  Note: There is an additional credit card processing charge for each registration. Please be carefull to enter the selected team name when registering.  (c)  The Team Captain or organizer must notify Mission Trail with team name and the appropriate Rotary or Interact Club information so that all registration monies will be credited and reported in your name to The Rotary Foundation Polio +.

                Register NOW

               2) Register by US Postal System - The team captain prints registration forms for each team member and collects the completed forms and registration fees.  A single check for the team, payable to MTR Charities, Inc. is mailed along with the team individual forms to M2M Charity Bike Tour.  The Team Captain is responsible for providing Mission Trail with team and club information.
